Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP B- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: November 3, 2010 Worthless Checks Issued at Treasure Chest Casino Troop B – On June 8, 2010, Louisiana State Troopers assigned to the Bureau of Investigations Gaming Division began an investigation at the Treasure Chest Casino regarding a patron that had issued twelve (12) worthless checks to the casino totaling $1, 660.00. The checks were issued over an eighteen (18) day period from December 20, 2009 through January 6, 2010. The patron was identified as Robert C. John (W/M , age 36) of Chalmette, LA. Further investigation revealed that John had altered the name of the bank on eleven (11) of the checks from “Region Bank” to “Regions Bank of Louisiana.” An arrest warrant was issued in Jefferson Parish and John was located at the Fairgrounds Race Track in New Orleans on November 2, 2010. He was booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center for Issuing Worthless Checks.
