TROOP B- NEWS RELEASE

For Immediate Release

Date: October 13, 2010
New Orleans Resident Arrested for Theft of Vehicles Totaling $138,990

Troop B – Louisiana State Police Troopers assigned to the Insurance Fraud / Auto Theft Unit arrested a New Orleans resident, Dyrian Riculfy (age 32), on October 11, 2010 on charges of Theft of a Motor Vehicle (2 counts) and Filing False Public Documents (2 counts).

Troopers began their investigation in September 2010, when they received information from the State of Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles in reference to a possible theft of limousines. Through further investigation, troopers found that Riculfy executed two lease agreements through the Pacific Coast Automotive Group of Los Angeles, CA, for a 2008 Chrysler 300 limousine and a 2008 Hummer H-3 limousine. Riculfy made several payments on the limousines but, defaulted on all other payments. Investigation revealed that the vehicles were titled by Riculfy with the State of Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles in the name of Millennium Limousine service, a company owned by Riculfy. Riculfy intentionally omitted the fact that the limousines were leased from Pacific Coast Automotive Group. The Chrysler is valued at $58,995 and the Hummer is valued at $79,995.

Riculfy was arrested and booked at the Orleans Parish Central Lock-Up.
