Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP B- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: January 3, 2010 Motorcycle Crash Kills One Man and Severely Injures Another Troop B – On Saturday, January 2, 2010, at approximately 7:02 PM, the Louisiana State Police Troop B was notified of a fatal crash on LA 39 north at mile post 1 in Plaquemines Parish. The investigation determined that a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle, operated by Travis Hamburg (B/M, age 29) of New Orleans, was stopped on the shoulder of LA 39 north. A 2007 Suzuki motorcycle, operated by Rondell Isidore (B/M, age 36) of Pointe a La Hache, was traveling on LA 39 north, approaching Hamburg. Hamburg then pulled into Isidore’s lane of travel. The motorcycles collided and Isidore was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Plaquemines Parish Coroner’s Office. Hamburg was transported to University Hospital with severe injuries. Speed is considered to be a factor of the crash. Toxicology results for both drivers are pending.
