Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP B- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: January 14, 2010 Fatal Crash Involving a Motorcycle in St. John Parish Troop B – On January 14, 2010, at approximately 4:10PM, Troop B responded to a fatal crash on LA 628 (River Road) east at LA 636-1 (McReine Road). The investigation showed a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by David A Dill III (W/M, age 58) of LaPlace, was traveling on LA 628 east and for unknown reasons Dill lost control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle crossed the double center lines and collided with a 2001 Ford Explorer that was traveling west on LA 628. The Explorer was driven by Robert Green Jr. (B/M, age 55) of Montz. Dill was pronounced deceased on the scene. Green was not injured. Speed and alcohol were not factors of the crash and Dill was wearing a helmet.
