Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP B- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: January 15, 2010 State Police Needs the Community’s Assistance in Solving Hit & Run Fatality in Jefferson Parish Troop B – On Thursday, January 14, 2010, at approximately 6:55PM, Troop B investigated a hit and run fatality crash on US 90 (Jefferson Highway) west at Boyce Street. Upon arrival, troopers found a black male lying on the right shoulder of the road. The male subject was identified as William E. Jackson (B/M, age 52). Jackson was originally from Alabama but, has been residing in the New Orleans metro area. Jackson was pronounced dead on the scene. Troop B is urging anyone in the community that has knowledge of the hit and run crash to call Troop B at 504.471.2775. Senior Trooper Henry Thompson is investigating the crash.
