Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP B- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: January 27, 2010 Motorcycle Driver Killed in Fatal Crash in St. Charles Parish Troop B – On Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at approximately 1:58 PM, the Louisiana State Police Troop B was notified of an injury crash on LA 18 east at Champagne Lane, mile post 58.2. Through investigation, troopers learned that a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Corey G. Treadaway (W/M, age 54) of Luling, LA, was traveling east on LA 18 and for unknown reasons the motorcycle ran off the road to the right. Treadaway was ejected from the motorcycle and was transported to St. Charles Hospital where he later died from injuries sustained during the crash. Speed is not a factor of the crash and driver impairment is unknown at this time. Autopsy and toxicology results are pending.
