| TROOP B NEWS RELEASE May 23, 2018 Three New Orleans Men Arrested During Narcotics Trafficking Investigation New Orleans – Yesterday, Troopers assigned to the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Task Force (HIDTA) executed three search warrants in New Orleans in relation to drug trafficking. Three subjects were arrested on various charges including Possession with Intent to Distribute Controlled Dangerous Substances, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of Illegal Narcotics and Transactions Involving the Proceeds from Drug Offenses. The investigation began in April 2018 after Troopers received information regarding illegal drug activity. During the search of the three residences, Troopers seized nearly $45,000 in illegal drug proceeds and the following items: - (1) stolen C.N. Romarm 7.62x39 rifle, (1) Norinco 7.62x39 rifle, (1) Glock 17, (1) Glock 23, (1) Taurus .25, (1) AR-15 pistol - Approximately 8.51 ounces powder cocaine, approx. 14.18 ounces crack cocaine, approx. 4.53 ounces heroin, approx.17.18 grams marijuana, various tablets including Zolpidem, MDMA and Adderall - Stolen 2008 Suzuki street bike, 2001 Porsche Cayenne, 2014 Mercedes CL550, 2016 Chevrolet Corvette, 2010 Jaguar convertible The three men arrested are: Phillip Johnson (age 38), Clyde E. Johnson (age 43) and Corey J. Maurice (age 41). They were booked on the Orleans Justice Center.
