TROOP B NEWS RELEASE February 8, 2022 Troopers Recover Stolen Tractor Trailer Containing $154,000 Worth of Aluminum Wire Orleans Parish – On February 7, 2022, Louisiana State Police Insurance Fraud/Auto Theft Unit along with Criminal Investigations Division Detectives in the New Orleans Field Office (LSP-CID-IFAT-NFO) were requested by the Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office to assist in the investigation of a stolen tractor trailer. Detectives learned that a 2019 Peterbilt tractor, valued at $125,000, was stolen in St. Helena Parish. Shortly after, a 2021 flatbed trailer, valued at $50,000, which contained nine rolls of 7,000 pound aluminum wire, valued at $154,000, was stolen in Tangipahoa Parish. Through investigative measures, Detectives were able to locate the truck and trailer at 8761 Old Gentilly Road in New Orleans. While there, Detectives found 53-year-old Terry Woodside actively dismantling the stolen truck and trailer. The nine rolls of aluminum wire had been offloaded from the trailer and were located nearby. | |||
