Troopers Uncover Clandestine Lab in New Orleans and Arrest Two for Methamphetamine Manufacturing

Orleans Parish – Yesterday, Troopers assigned to the New Orleans Criminal Enforcement Detail uncovered an operational clandestine lab in the 4300 block of Calliope Street, New Orleans. Two individuals were arrested and booked into the Orleans Central Lock-Up, both for Operating a Clandestine Lab, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

A search warrant was conducted on the residence after Troopers received information relating to a functional clandestine lab. During the search, two manufactured grams of methamphetamine were located along with undisclosed amounts of precursor chemicals used in the manufacture process of methamphetamine. The case is on-going and further criminal charges may be forthcoming. The arrested subjects are Justin Chambers (W/M, age 29) and David Murray (W/M, age 58), both of which lived at the residence in New Orleans, LA.
