Troopers Seeking Help from Public Identifying a Hit and Run Vehicle which Killed a Pedestrian in St. Charles Parish

Posted on November 27, 2014: St. Rose - Early Thanksgiving morning at approximately 1:45 am, Louisiana State Police Troop B was notified of a fatal hit and run crash involving a pedestrian. The crash occurred in front of the residence located at 305 La. 626 (St. Rose Avenue) in St. Charles Parish. The crash claimed the life of a St. Rose woman.

The initial investigation revealed that an unknown vehicle operated by an unknown driver was traveling southbound on La. 626. The pedestrian, Christin Allday (W/F 25), was walking eastbound across La. 626. Allday failed to yield to the oncoming vehicle, walked into the roadway, and was struck. Allday received life threatening injuries and was transported to St. Charles Hospital where she later died.

Impairment is unknown on Allday's part; however, a blood and urine sample will be collected by the St. Charles Parish Coroner's Office for a toxicological analysis. Those results are pending and this crash remains under investigation.

Troopers are asking for anyone having information to help identify the unknown vehicle to call Troop B at (504) 471-2775.
