TROOP B - NEWS RELEASE November 16, 2015 Des Allemands Man Dies After Motor Vehicle Crash St. Charles Parish – Yesterday evening, at approximately 4:45 pm, Louisiana State Police Troop B responded to a fatal crash involving two vehicles on US 90 at Schmill Street in Boutte, LA. 57 year-old Keith Hotard of Des Allemands, LA was pronounced dead on the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed that Hotard was driving a Ford F-250 west on US 90 near the intersection of Schmill Street. For unknown reasons, the Ford veered off the road to the right and crossed into a private parking lot. The Ford struck an unoccupied parked vehicle, continued through the parking lot and struck a power pole. Hotard was unresponsive on the scene and medical aid was rendered, however Hotard was pronounced dead. Hotard was wearing a seat belt and impairment is not suspected. Toxicology tests will be performed during an autopsy.
