TROOP B - NEWS RELEASE December 29, 2013 Troopers Search for Vehicle Involved in Hit and Run Fatality This morning, at approximately 6:00 AM, Louisiana State Police Troop B responded to a hit and run fatality crash on LA 46 at Madison Street in St. Bernard Parish. Preliminary investigation revealed that a late model Dodge pick-up, possibly white in color, was traveling south on LA 46 and for unknown reasons traveled onto the shoulder of the road and struck a pedestrian that was walking on the southbound shoulder. The vehicle then fled the scene and the pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene. The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld at this time, pending notification to the family. Troopers were able to gather evidence from the vehicle on the scene and are currently searching for the Dodge pick-up.
