TROOP B - NEWS RELEASE November 13, 2013 Bicyclist Killed in Crash in Jefferson Parish Update: The bicyclist was identified as Cleveland Hills (B/M, age 49) of Marrero, LA.Yesterday evening, shortly after 9:00 PM, Louisiana State Police Troop B investigated a fatal crash involving a bicyclist on US 90B near Westwood Drive. The bicyclist was pronounced dead after being transported to the West Jefferson Medical Center. Preliminary investigation revealed that the bicyclist was crossing the eastbound lanes of US 90B. A 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by Corey McCall (B/M, age 44) of Marrero, LA, was traveling in the left lane of US 90B. McCall swerved to the right in an attempt to avoid the bicyclist. McCall lost control of the Pontiac and struck the bicyclist in the center lane then ran off the road to the right and struck a stop sign.
