TROOP B - NEWS RELEASE March 26, 2014 New Orleans Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography Yesterday, Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations Special Victims Unit arrested Kenneth Klein (W/M, age 59) of New Orleans, LA, on 25 counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles following an investigation that began in February 2014. LSP detectives developed information on Klein after receiving information that he was in possession of child pornography. The investigation revealed that Klein was downloading large amounts of explicit photos and videos over a period of several months. A search warrant was issued for Klein’s residence. LSP detectives, Louisiana Attorney General’s Office personnel and detectives from the New Orleans Police Department found numerous videos and images involving children. Klein was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Jail. The Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit was created to combat child exploitation, investigate child and adult sex trafficking as well as labor trafficking. LSP will continue to investigate and partner with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies relating to these crimes. The public plays an integral role in identifying suspects accused of these crimes and anyone wishing to report criminal or suspicious activity to the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations, New Orleans Field Office is urged to contact detectives at 504-310-7000.
