TROOP B NEWS RELEASE February 12, 2018 17 year old Escapee from Monroe Detention Center Located and Arrested Orleans Parish – Today, detectives assigned to the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations and the US Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force located Teondre Wright in an apartment complex in Algiers, LA. He was placed under arrest and booked into the Orleans Justice Center as a fugitive from Ouachita Parish. January 11, 2018: On January 2, 2018, Teondre Wright, black male age 17, escaped from the Swanson Center for Youth in Monroe, LA. Wright and three other escapees were confirmed missing at 9:16 pm. The three others were apprehended in the Monroe, LA area a short time later. Wright was being held in the Swanson Center for various charges, including carjacking and armed robbery. Wright is still at large. Detectives believe Wright is in the New Orleans area and is considered to be possibly armed and dangerous. Detectives need the public’s assistance in locating Wright. Anyone providing assistance and/or housing to Wright is in violation of state law and may be arrested and charged as an Accessory after the Fact. State Police is asking anyone with information related to the whereabouts of Teondre Wright to contact Louisiana State Police at (504) 471-2775 or the Office of Juvenile Justice Command Center at (318) 651-4890. Also, Crimestoppers is offering up to $5000 for information leading to Wright’s capture. Callers do not have to give their name or testify to receive the cash reward.
