Seven Orleans Parish Men Arrested in Drug Trafficking Organization

Orleans Parish – Yesterday, Detectives assigned to the Louisiana State Police High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Task Force (HIDTA) and Troopers from Troop N conducted a search warrant in the 800 block of Galvez St. in New Orleans. The search yielded two handguns, one of which was stolen, and various amounts of cocaine, marijuana, and Tramadol pills.

The search warrant followed an extensive investigation over the past month and a half after HIDTA Detectives received information about a possible drug trafficking organization. During the search warrant, Detectives seized over $1,000, nearly 40 grams of powder cocaine, nearly 10 grams of crack cocaine, over 3 grams of marijuana, over 9 grams of Tramadol pills, one stolen HK USP .45 caliber handgun (stolen from Jefferson Parish in November 2016), one Taurus PT111 9mm handgun and other drug paraphernalia. The investigation is on-going and additional charges may be forthcoming. The following individuals were arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Lock-Up:

      1) Eric Hill (21 yoa of New Orleans) – Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I and II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Stolen Firearm

      2) Timothy Kemp (36 yoa of New Orleans) –
      Possession with Intent to distribute a Schedule I, II and IV Controlled Dangerous Substance (4 counts), Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Stolen Firearm, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Resisting Arrest by Flight

      3) Tavuki Williams (37 yoa of New Orleans) –
      Possession with Intent to distribute a Schedule I and II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Stolen Firearm, Resisting Arrest by Flight

      4) Isadore Cooper (39 yoa of New Orleans) –
      Possession with Intent to distribute a Schedule I and II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Stolen Firearm, Resisting Arrest by Flight

      5) Edward Thomas (58 yoa of New Orleans) –
      Possession with Intent to distribute a Schedule I and II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Stolen Firearm, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm

      6) Alvin Nelson (56 yoa of New Orleans) –
      Possession with Intent to distribute a Schedule I and II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Stolen Firearm, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm

      7) Darrion Hubbard (25 yoa of New Orleans) –
      Possession with Intent to distribute a Schedule I and II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Stolen Firearm, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm
