Troopers Searching for Hit and Run Suspect Prairieville – Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a hit and run crash involving a pedestrian last night in Ascension Parish on LA 42. The crash occurred at approximately 11:30 pm on LA 42 east of LA 431, when an unknown vehicle traveling westbound on LA 42 struck a young woman walking along the roadway and did not stop. Tommie Hadley (W/F, age 22) of Prairieville sustained life-threatening injuries when she was struck and was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital by Acadian Ambulance Airmed. Evidence gathered at the scene suggests that the vehicle is either a Toyota 4-Runner or a Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner, model years between 2003 and 2005, and it is silver. There will be damage to the right front corner of the vehicle. The right front fender flare and the right lower corner of the front bumper are missing. The right side mirror is also missing. The damage should be very noticeable. Troopers are continuing the investigation and following all leads. The Louisiana State Police Crime Lab is processing the scene of the crash for additional evidence.
