The event will be held at the Blue Bayou Waterpark overflow parking lot on the corner of Highland Road and Interstate 10. Each year, Troop A Day has grown with the help of sponsors and partners throughout the Greater Baton Rouge Area. Health screenings, cancer awareness information, fire hazard houses, helicopters, disaster recovery information, ladder trucks, patrol boats, and interactive children’s games are just some of the many activities that will be offered. “With the help of our sponsors and partners, we are thrilled to be able to bring the lifesaving information needed to make the Greater Baton Rouge community a safer place,” said Captain Frank Ducote, Troop A Commander. “We encourage the public to come out, enjoy a day with the family, and take advantage of this free event and valuable information,” Captain Ducote added. Troopers would like to take this opportunity to extend an open invitation to the public and to the media to come out and enjoy the festivities on Sunday, November 14, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. This event has gotten bigger and better each year, and Troopers are looking forward to it once again.
