TROOP A NEWS RELEASE February 16, 2013 Vehicle Sought in East Baton Rouge Parish Hit-and-Run UPDATE - February 16, 2013: Troopers continue to search for the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run crash that occurred on Burbank Dr. near Staring Ln. in Baton Rouge. Evidence left at the scene has led investigators to believe that the vehicle involved is a 1980-1986 full size Ford pickup truck or Bronco. Troopers believe that the vehicle may have been repainted to an aqua-blue or teal color, and will possibly have damage to the passenger side headlight and grille area. Baton Rouge – On February 11, 2013 shortly after 3:00 am, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian that occurred on LA Hwy 42 (Burbank Dr.) at Staring Ln. in East Baton Rouge Parish. The initial investigation by State Police revealed that 19 year old Baker resident Tyrone Davis was in the roadway on Burbank Dr. when he was struck and killed by an unknown westbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene, and continued traveling west on Burbank Dr. Troopers urge anyone with any information to please contact Louisiana State Police Troop A (225-754-8500) or their local law enforcement agency.
