619 2026-08-27 AG Murrill’s Office Arrests Youngsville Man on 50 Counts of Distributing Child Sexual Abuse Material and Animal Sex Abuse Charge

Louisiana Attorney General LizMurrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a Youngsville man oncharges of distribution of child sexual abuse material and sexual abuse of ananimal.

40-year-old Jeremy ScottBellard, of Gilmore Road in Youngsville, was identified during a proactiveinvestigation involving the distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM)through an online peer-to-peer network.

 On August 25, 2026, LouisianaBureau of Investigation, along with Homeland Security Investigations, theLafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Youngsville Police Department,executed a search warrant at Bellard’s residence. During the search, agents locatedevidence connecting Bellard to the distribution of child sexual abuse materialas well as sexual abuse of animal media. 

 Bellard was arrested and bookedinto the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:

  •  Count(s) 1 of 14:89.3 Sexual Abuse of an Animal
  • Count(s) 50 of 14:81.1(E)(5)(a) Child Sexual Abuse Material under 13 years old (Distribution) 

The investigation remainsongoing.
