Attorney General Liz Murrill announced that the Louisiana Bureauof Investigation (LBI) arrested a Spearsville man for Possession ofChild Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of Thirteen and Sexual Abuse ofAnimals. The suspect, 24-year-old Gabriel Burton, of Highway 558 inSpearsville, was identified after agents received a tip from the NationalCenter for Missing and Exploited Children. Burton was found to be using an online media storageapplication to store CSAM and Images/Videos of the sexual abuse of animals. Thearrest was the result of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau ofInvestigation and the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office. Burton was arrested on: • 2 countsof Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of Thirteen (La.R.S. 14:81.1) • 9 countsof Sexual Abuse of Animals (La. RS14:89.3) He was booked into the Union Parish Detention Center on July 15, 2026.Bond was set at $480,000. The investigation remains ongoing. *All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. |
