575 2026-07-16 Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Arrests Spearsville Man on Possession of CSAM and Sexual Abuse of Animals

Attorney General Liz Murrill announced that the Louisiana Bureauof Investigation (LBI) arrested a Spearsville man for Possession ofChild Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of Thirteen and Sexual Abuse ofAnimals.

The suspect, 24-year-old Gabriel Burton, of Highway 558 inSpearsville, was identified after agents received a tip from the NationalCenter for Missing and Exploited Children.

Burton was found to be using an online media storageapplication to store CSAM and Images/Videos of the sexual abuse of animals. Thearrest was the result of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau ofInvestigation and the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Burton was arrested on:

•  2 countsof Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of Thirteen (La.R.S. 14:81.1)

•  9 countsof Sexual Abuse of Animals (La. RS14:89.3)

He was booked into the Union Parish Detention Center on July 15, 2026.Bond was set at $480,000.

The investigation remains ongoing.
