Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents arrested a Registered Sex Offender from Broussard for Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of 13.

51-year-old Scottie Wayne Vallot, of Pear Tree Circle in Broussard, was arrested on May 13, 2026, for:

• 6 Counts of 14:81.1 E(5)(a) -- child sexual abuse material under the age of thirteen (Felony)

Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which jumpstarted our investigation.

This arrest was a result of a jointinvestigation with The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland SecurityInvestigations, and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Scottie Vallot was booked into the Lafayette ParishCorrectional Center. 

His bond has been set at $60,000.

The investigation continues.
