Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a man from Scott, Louisiana, for failure to registers as a sex offender and unlawful social media use. 36-year-old Gabriel Nichol Francis, of Garnie Lane in Scott, who is currently incarcerated at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center in reference to a probation violation, was booked on the following additional charge by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation:
These additional charges are the result of an investigation between the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and the Louisiana Office of Probation and Parole, after LBI agents got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Francis is currently a registered sex offender. Both the Louisiana Office of Probation and Parole and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office assisted our office with this investigation. Francis' bond has reportedly been set at $7,500. The investigation is ongoing. ![]() *All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. |
