Attorney General Liz Murrill's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit secured a guilty plea for a Monroe man on two counts of Medicaid Fraud.

On March 23, 2026, Marion Prudhomme, III pled guilty as charged in the19th JDC to two counts of:

• Medicaid Fraud, a violation of La. R.S. 14:70.1.      

Prudhomme’s sentence was deferred under art. 893 and he was placed on one year of bench probation with conditions to successfully complete antitheft class, pay $404.75 court costs, pay $200.00 fine, & $13,017.40 in restitution ordered was previously recouped from Enrich PCS, the Medicaid provider where Prudhomme was employed.

While working as a Direct Service Worker for Enrich Personal Care Services in Monroe, Marrion Prudhomme III submitted false documentation claiming to be providing services for a Medicaid recipient in Monroe when he was actually in Shreveport working a second job with another company. Agents obtained electronic clock-ins from his work as a DSW, records from his second employer, and phone records showing that Prudhomme was in Shreveport on numerous occasions when he was claiming to be providing services in Monroe, causing a loss to the Medicaid program of $13,017.40. Prudhomme III was arrested back in August of 2022.

This arrest and conviction resulted from an investigation by the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit with the Louisiana Department of Justice.
