310 2025-08-04 Joint investigation by Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office leads to arrest of registered sex offender for Pornography Involving Juveniles

Agents with Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a Registered Sex Offender on August 1, 2025.

25-year-old Brice Higgerson, of Choctaw Road in Brusly, was arrested for violating:

  • LA R.S. 14:81.1 Pornography Involving Juveniles, Under the age of 13 (Felony) - 20 Counts

Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with General Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations. 

Higgerson was booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Jail.

His bond information is unknown at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
