BATON ROUGE, LA – On Friday, Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry announced that the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana granted Louisiana and Missouri's request for depositions from top-ranking officials in the federal government. The order stems from the lawsuit filed in May against Joe Biden and other top-ranking government officials for allegedly working with social media giants such as Meta, Twitter, and Youtube to censor and suppress free speech. The list of granted depositions includes Dr. Anthony Fauci, former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, Director of White House Digital Strategy Rob Flaherty, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, CISA Director Jen Easterly, and FBI Supervisory Special Agent Elvis Chan.

"When Big Government colludes with Big Tech to violate the right to free speech of the American people, we are no longer citizens; we become subjects," said Attorney General Landry. "We will continue to pull back the layers of this censorship enterprise until we find the truth. This ruling is the next step in that process."

The request for depositions was filed on October 10, 2022, and that motion was granted on October 21, 2022, allowing Louisiana and Missouri to depose top-ranking officials in the federal government under oath.
