"I applaud the United States Senate for confirming Louisiana's own Justice Amy Coney Barrett. I also applaud the leadership shown by Senate President McConnell and Judiciary Chairman Graham to fill this Supreme Court seat.
I once again commend President Trump for ignoring leftist hypocrisy and nominating Justice Barrett, an exceptional jurist wholeheartedly devoted to upholding our Constitution.
I trust that Justice Barrett will serve the American people with honor and distinction, continuing her impeccable judicial career - one that her mentor, the late Justice Antonin Scalia, would be proud of."
